Grace Fox has quickly emerged as a rising star in the jazz world, celebrated for her talent as a trumpeter, composer and bandleader. Based in NYC, she has performed at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, Newport Jazz Festival, and iconic Broadway theaters. Recently, Grace has been a regular trumpet sub in the Broadway pit for Gypsy (2025), Heathers the Musical (2026), as well as the chair holder for Seat of Our Pants (2025).
Grace has recorded and performed as lead trumpeter for Grammy-nominated artist Jon Batiste in his Carnegie Hall performance “American Symphony,” also featured in an accompanying documentary. She contributed to the soundtrack for Sony Picture’s “Saturday Night” under Batiste’s musical direction. Other groups include Sherrie Maricle’s DIVA Jazz Orchestra, The Future of Jazz Orchestra, and the Village Vanguard Orchestra. Aside from trumpet, she also has a big band chart published by Brava Jazz. Grace studied jazz trumpet at Manhattan School of Music with Ingrid Jensen, Jon Faddis, Nadje Noordhuis, Scott Wendholt, and composition with Darcy James Argue.
